Company History

Incorporated in 1989, American Ergonomics Corporation has invested 15 years developing, manufacturing and patenting its unique seating technology and products. In May of 1992, AEC began the process of shifting its emphasis from product design and development to marketing and licensing its technology. Prior to that, product sales were from test-marketing the first generation of products to the comfort and health oriented, ergonomic niche, and specialty seating markets. Approximately 5,000 Ergomax chairs were sold and are in use today. The company’s emphasis is now on optimizing vehicular seating.
